The Tracheolife Heat Moisture Exchanger by Mallinckrodt combines high humidification efficiency with long term effectiveness. Its features include a small collection chamber which makes sure sputum does not compromise operation, a central port through which allows for suctioning and sampling without removing the device; and HME element made of cellulose. The oxygen port is positioned to allow all inspired gases to be heated and humidified.
