The JStim 1000 Arthritis Joint System is a proprietary electrotherapy device that works in tandem with soft, multi-layer conductive fabric and safe infrared heat to deliver effective and efficient therapy to the afflicted joint. The JStim works by sending tiny proprietary electrical signals to the joint, while combining infrared heat and compression. Working in tandem with electrotherapy, the infrared heat therapy provides deep tissue treatment. This may help the user with increased blood circulation and reduced pain, and may potentially provide therapeutic results for the treatment of osteoarthiritis and/or rheumatoid arthritis.

The JStim 1000 Hand System is similar to the knee system, but is worn like a glove. This particular treatment setup consists of silver garment fabric in the shape of a glove, combined with Infrared heat fabric, and finally a special compression glove to be fitted over the conductive components in order to block the outside current and to give a combination of treatments to the affected hands.
COMPONENTS:

Soft Hand Wrap (Hand model only):The soft hand wrap is made of a comfortable, breathable, conductive garment material that is shaped into a one size fits all glove.
The Arm Band (Hand model only) is included to serve as the ground pad to activate the conductive glove. Infrared heat fabric is incorporated into the wrist area of the glove.
A Compression glove (Hand model only) is then fitted over the conductive and infrared components.
JStim Electrotherapy Device:Compact and sporty, the small battery-powered JStim Electrotherapy Device generates the proprietary electrical signal that provides the therapy. The System uses a lithium-ion battery, and incorporates a patient compliance timer so as to keep a record of treatment. The Signal Generator is dual channel so that bilateral stimulation is possible (both knees or both hands).
Infrared heat band, li-polymer battery compression wrap:The infrared heat fabric technology is used in conjunction with either the knee or hand system. When activated, the therapeutic benefits of infrared heat penetrate deep into muscles and joints.
OPERATION MODES:
The NT mode is the main treatment mode designed as a cumulative therapy to treat OA and RA. While in this mode the system needs to be worn for approximately 7 hours per day – and used for approximately 1500 hours in total. Due to the length of use per treatment session, the JStim has been designed for use while sleeping.
The DT (daytime) mode was designed to combat pain immediately. It is safe to use this mode as little or as much as needed. However, if you are seeking treatment for OA and RA, you should stick to a residual program on the NT mode. The DT stimulation mode will allow you to target pain symptoms to reduce them to a manageable level throughout the day if needed.
Your JStim is set to default on the NT mode. The user has to command the device into the DT mode.

Warranty:JStim carries a three year warranty against all mechanical defects. There is a 60 day warranty on all other items.
