Aquacel Extra - Hydrofiber Wound Dressing (without silver) is derived from 100% pure sodium carboxymethylcellulose. Aquacel dressing looks and feels like other gauze and alginate dressings, but retains more fluid than both. Amazingly, Aquacel retains as much as 3 times more fluid than gauze alone. Aquacel dressings can be used for pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, incisions, donor sites, second degree burns, and infected wounds.
