The AirLife Disposable Flow Incentive Spirometer by CareFusion is intended for exercising and measuring volume flow. Pre- and post-op patients must keep the device’s inhalation-sensitive ball suspended in order to increase their lung volume. The effort required to suspend the ball varies depending on the diameter of the different flow passages. The balls remains raised as long as the patients keeps the effort
