Cavilon Cream is a long-lasting, highly concentrated barrier against body fluids manufactured by 3M. This product has been shown to prevent and reduce incontinence-related skin irritation and eczema as well as decrease the frequency of broken skin. It is petrolatum-free so it doesn’t hinder the absorbency of incontinence pad linings. Moreover, it is both hypoallergenic and pH balanced, and it doesn’t reduce dressing adherence. It should not be used on infected skin areas, such as fungal infections.
